During the first prototypes of my upcoming tractor..
I regurlarly had to tow it back to the “garage” after some more or less successfull practical tests. That gave me a reason to by the the Lego Flatbed Truck. It also gave me a highly needed refill of “standard” parts.
I especially liked the function for extending the wheel lift. By simply rotating an axle, a sequence of movements were executed; extend, “flip over”, extend, rise.
When rising the flat bed the rear chassis was lowered simultaneous by raising the wheels. This gave a gentle angle between the flatbed and the ground.
Mechanically the truck exceeded my expectations, but however it is always more fun with something that can acutally move on its own (whihc .
